people don’t seem to understand that being fictionkin of a character has literally nothing to do with physical appearance or culture.
people who are kin of anime or manga characters do not believe they are japanese and they are not claiming to be japanese any more than people who are kin of dipper pines think they are 12 years old and jewish or claim to be 12 years old and jewish
and no one is claiming that anime/manga characters aren’t japanese when they are
that’s really not how it works
