There’s a lot of criticism [especially in fictionkin communities] aimed at people who “cling too tightly to their kin life.” Meanwhile, in this life I have found a source of peace and spiritual enlightenment in the philosophy of my old race. Is it unhealthy or wrong to do this? I mean I know it’s not, but second opinions are sometimes good to have.

I don’t think following any certain philosophy is wrong unless you’re hurting others (which it doesn’t seem like you’re doing). If it gives you the enlightenment and peace you need/want, then I think that’s a wonderful thing!

As far as people “clinging too much to their kin life,” I think there is a point where you can go too far (like if you get extremely obsessive over it to the point where it interferes with normal functioning), but I see nothing wrong with people embracing their past as part of their current identity, especially if it’s still a large part of them.
