A thought:
Maybe minors can find a place to play animal pretend with the furries, therians, otherkin or roleplaying groups. Playing pretend or exploring identity can be freeing, relaxing, nonsexual and fun! That way they could avoid invading adult kink spaces.
I don’t know what those communities require in terms of age, I’m fairly certain there is a section of the furry fandom that is 18+? (Maybe someone else can elaborate on that) I feel like they may be barking up the wrong tree for now. Pet play is a power exchange situation no matter what type of intensity you prefer. As soon as you say “Owner” or “pet,” “I am below you,” or “I outrank you,” you’re engaging in an adult contractual relationship.
Otherkin aren’t a subset of furries or any kind of animal-play/roleplay groups. Our communities are not welcoming to people who are looking to play pretend in any sense, so, yeah.
