okay seriously tho how do y’all find out that you’re otherkin, or fictkin, or whatever kin? like do you just get up one day and say “fuck it I’m this now” because I’ve been trying to figure out kin feelings for a while now, and I’m confused as shit, and I’m tired as shit, and some advice or something would really be appreciated

No, it’s not something you can decide to be. Taking time to grapple with and understand it is 100% normal. Awakening to kin identity is a process, and should not be rushed into without serious thought. It’s also, unfortunately, often a stressful experience.
