Fictionkin are to otherkin like Mormonism is to religion (but at least religion has done the world good)

Except for the fact that mormonism IS a religion, while fictionkin is a seperate community from otherkin (although there is a lot of overlap). Mormons and fictionkin aren’t really comparable for anything past “both groups have beliefs”.

The difference isn’t about them being a separate community (after all therians, draconics, etc have their separate communities but are still otherkin). Its more a matter of fictionkin asking a “different question” than otherkin.

Otherkin “asks” if one identifies as nonhuman, fictionkin “asks” if one identifies as something or someone from fiction. So that is why their is an overlap, but fictionkin isn’t necessarily a subset of otherkin outright.

I actually think what OP meant is that Mormons are a much less credible branch of Christianity, and so they believe that fictionkin are even less credible than other sorts of otherkin. Which is BS. I just wish that people would further research the science they’re trying to apply to explain their beliefs, because I feel like reincarnation fictionkin don’t always do the best job, there.

I think its worth pointing out that the OP has been aggressively trashing on otherkin and fictionkin both for weeks.
