I really, really hate when people use their kin identities to spite others. Harassing non-kin fans with your memories and headcanons, screaming that they’re canon because “BUTBUTBUT IT ME IT LITERALLY ME”, is not cute. it is not edgy, or progressive, or productive in any way.
What it is is petty and completely ineffective, and it makes the idea of being kin look like a joke. It’s a glorified temper tantrum because somebody’s playing with a toy you don’t want them to have.
