Hello, I’ve been losing kins quickly and not talking time to think about them, is there something I can do to take more time to think about them? And is it bad that I lose a kin?
Before I answer. Please don’t take this personally, but this is a bit of a pet peeve and it’s so common I’m compelled to address it.
The plural of kin is kin.
One kin, two kin.
As in, one otherkin, two otherkin.
The correct term isn’t “kins”, it’s kintypes.
One kintype, two kintypes.Okay. Now that that’s addressed. .
It’s not bad to stop referring to certain things as your kintypes as you find you identify less as them.
When it comes to kintypes, they are integral, they are what you are on a non-physical level.
If you find you’re losing kintypes then odds are that you’ve applied them to yourself with insufficient research and questioning.
What that means is that if you can stop being (for example) a wolf at any time, odds are, you were never a wolf. There’s nothing wrong with being a human being.
There’s nothing gained by being otherkin/fictionkin.You might want to go back to square one and really try to ask yourself why you think you might be otherkin/fictionkin at all in the first place, and then go from there.
