Someone may be insincere or a community troll if:

  • they gain a new kintype every few day or weeks
  • their connection with kintype lacks insight or depth, merely being a ‘favorite’.
  • they claim that being kin is a choice that they made/choosing their kintypes
  • they claim that being kin is a gender
  • they make outlandish claims of magical powers they can use in this life
  • they claim that all kin are ‘coping’
  • they consistently confuse being kin and being a system/multiple after being corrected.
  • they claim to be kin of outlandish personalityless objects like spoons or chairs
  • they make escalatingly outlandish claims
  • they lack personal insight as to why others would find their beliefs silly
  • they claim to live every moment of their day as their kinself, including costumes and forcing people in their professional life to call them by kin names.
  • they lack insight or reflection on the nature of being kin
  • they treat being kin as a game, hobby, or something inherently fun

Ok yes I agree with some points, but some people legitimately get new kin types within days/weeks/whatever

I doubt this. I don’t doubt that they may -think- they’re gaining kintypes left-and-right, but I doubt this is how it actually happens.

Being kin to something, it’s essentially naming that thing you are most close to/that you are at your core. It’s entirely possible to have reincarnated or been 10 different creatures, but even then you do not feel equally close to all of those things.

Using names for example- My name’s Nou. It’s not my legal name, and I have other nicknames, but I’m choosing to call myself this one name because it fits me best (Imperfect comparison is imperfect.)

I’m skeptical of people who carelessly assign themselves kin labels, like they’re collecting pokemon, or something. It’s one thing to shuffle through ideas, trying to find the right one- And another when you’re just going through kin labels like they’re going out of style. And if you are, and you’re still doing all the necessary work (ie. self searching and introspection) then you may need to look into shifting ‘kin.

*Spiritual viewpoint. If you ain’t, disregard.
