Why Spiritual kin are sometimes wary of Psychological kin
Basically spiritual kin believe that their memories come from objective events that really happened to them in another world. They literally believe that you could theoretically tear a hole between dimensions and ‘go home’, and possibly depending on what they were, believe that they’ll go home, (or wind up in a NEW fictional universe) when they die.
Given this, if someone believes they are purely psychological kin, then they’re saying they’re NOT from another world, and thus, from the objective standpoint of the person in question, not actually that person that they knew
Lets say that there’s Ash (a spiritual kin) and Misty (a psychological kin)
From Ash’s perspective Misty isn’t a ‘real’ Misty, because she never experienced another world, where she was Misty and did the things that Misty did
She’s ‘just’ a person from this world who thinks like misty/adopted Misty’s point of view and persona.
I think a lot of the passion comes from spiritual kin wanting to find people they knew, and from a spiritual perspective, a psychological kin can never be from the same world as them.
The thing I’ve learned, that most ‘psychological’ kin are really just unsure/unwilling to say they definitely came from another world.
And most spiritual kin don’t want to entertain the idea that they might be ‘making it up’, so it comes to conflict.
