poly-fictionkin anon here! I mainly see two types, people who identify as two characters in the same canon. (As in the same person being both Shinji Ikari AND Kaworu Nagisa from NGE) And, I also see people being kin with multiple characters from different canons. (So one person being, Shinji Ikari, Steven Universe, and Miku Hatsune). What are your opinions on those two types?
My basic opinion is that every identity someone has should be given equal weight and scrutiny by both themselves, and others. I believe each identity comes with its own awakening, and emotional baggage, and should be given time, and meditated on completely, until one is sure. I get annoyed at people who have a new kintype every week, or add identities to their list like picking chocolates at a candy shop.
That said, I absolutely believe that poly-fictionkin, both types as described here, are real, and valid. In the first instance, identifying as two people from the same canon, I imagine that either two souls were born (or however you understand fictionkin to come into an earth body) into the same body, for whatever reason. Possibly because they were emotionally inseparable.
In the second case, which is my case, I imagine it as serial incarnation. In otherwards, Shinji Ikari was born as Stephen Universe, and Steven Universe was born as Miku Hatsune, and Miku Hanstune was born as Fred who works at McDonalds.
Can I add a little story + new ideal to this? I was actually wanting to make a post about how my polyfictionkin stuff works, but adding onto this works also.
I’m like the second case. I figured out my soul originated as one fictiotype, then at the end of that life, it became this person and I lived a new life with vague implications of the previous until awakening. My soul was written over, almost, with my current life.
And, my second fictiotype, at the end of their life, some type of choice was given to them, and they chose to travel the cosmos, and this resulted in a long journey that ended with their soul being mixed in with fictiotype 1′s at my birth (like ice cream wirls, hehe..) and being equally written over.
So, I was 100% reincarnated from one, and the other was mixed in in big chunks. That’s a possible explanation for some folks having many fictiotypes you can consider, Anon.
