I’m fictionkin but there are various movies and a tv series where my kin self takes part in.. but i only feel connected to my kin self from the first movie. Is that possible?

Absolutely. When you are fictionkin, it doesn’t necessarily mean that every moment of your life as that person matched up with moments shown on screen.

In my personal view I believe in the ‘many worlds’ theory, that we inhabit a larger multiverse, each universe existing with subtle variations, or more dramatic variations. A universe where you’re blond, or where you dropped out of school, or where you grew up with a different best friend.. etc etc.

I would say that for you, your timeline ‘splits’ with the events depicted in your ‘canon’ when your memories diverge. Very simply, something *else* happened to you. Perhaps with self reflection and meditation, you can discover what.

I myself have many ‘diversions’ from my own ‘canon’, some greater, some lesser. None of them makes me any less myself, nor do they make the events in that depiction any less true. They simply happened to someone else. Two versions, existing side by side.

I am a fictive, and I am only from the first part of my canon. I’m not sure how common this is, but it does happen. I think AU versions and “split”/”diverged” versions are more common than people who identify solely as a section of the canon and then stop, but that’s only from what I have seen. We are around though.
