To comment on the “Otherkin Rapture” thing: I still kinda believe it in a weird sense. Not in the sense that people are gonna have some sort of physical thing happen, but when you think about it, it seems it’s really only in this day and age that otherkin can so easily find each other. “Because of multiverse theory, anything I create, or anyone else creates, already exists somewhere else.” Completely absurd, and offensive to artists who don’t think like this. But I can see there’s no point going any further as your idea is basically “everything exists”, which is both unfalsifiable and humorously childish.

But fictional characters are created by writers and artists? Just because somebody imagined something, that means it exists in one of infinite parallel universes? That implies one of two things: either humans are Gods who can create new universes by just imagining whatever, or fictional characters existed before the writer/artist imagined them and it’s not actually their creation. They’re both absurd, and the second one is actually disrespectful.

captain-s-mindfang: It implies neither. A truly infinite multiverse demands that not only any fictional world can exist, but that all fictional worlds must exist, including…
