Idk if this has been asked before but ive noticed a lot of “ID pages” on blogs where people are saying “this character is not my kintype they are literally me” do you know what that mean or anything because it always confuses me, especially when they list a bunch of kintypes or copinglinks below the initial “literally me” characters

Do you think there’s some fundamental difference between copinglinks and being fiction-hearted? The way I’ve heard them described by people who identify that way, they sound exactly the same, but the way I see copinglinks being described by the spiritual kin community makes it sound like people are sitting down and making a conscious decision to identify as a certain character.

Hello, sorry if this is a bother, but could you talk about or direct me to anyone talking about “copinglink”? I think I understand what it means, but am not sure I quite get it. I did a Google search and a Tumblr search, but came up with 2 posts, which were both angry sounding posts and didn’t actually mention what copinglink was, just that it exists. :( I’m all for new terms to describe things, esp because “kin” has been twisted so much lately by others.

Copinglink is a very new term. I’m pretty sure it’s meant to replace copingkin? @inexplicablehanyou can probably explain better than I can.
