The typical term for this is “questioning”, anon. As in “I’m questioning Xkin”, until you’re more sure of yourself.

im genuinely curious: with the multiverse fickin/otherkin theory, how do you get from universe A to universe B? if matter/energy could travel between them, wouldnt they both be the same universe, just far away? (once again, no hostility!)

I think depending on the universes in question, energy travels in different ways- perhaps through gates or holes in reality, or through sort of ‘sympathetic’ energy…

How can you be born with the soul of a fictional character, when it’s a fictional character? and what if someone was born 20 years ago, and claims to be fictionkin with someone from a show made a year ago? How does that work?

as someone whos ockin, i completely sympathise with those who feel its odd to be kin with a non canon or background character, especially when theres no source material to go off of, and im pretty sure had a relationship with a canon character and you can imagine how people took that o~o

I can sympathize too, anon. It can be tough not having a lot to go off of to figure yourself out. And also tough if…

Being Kin with an OC or Fan character wouldn’t be dissimilar to being kin with a background character anyways and those exist

Absolutely.

for the ockin stuff: is it okay to even be kin with an oc? like after lots of considering and looking into yourself? also do people usually make an appearance/look for themselves if theyre not a canon character from a source?

Pardon my language, but fuck yes it is ‘okay’ to discover that your kintype is an OC.  *points dramatically to the otherkin community*  Anybody who’s kintype…

im feeling kinfeels towards an oc i made, but its not even tied to anything specific, nor does anyone really know about it. i feel such a strong identity yet i dont know if im valid or not…

If you have a kintype you don’t know about and you make an OC there’s a strong tendency/likelihood for that OC to at least have…

Whats the best way to find your kintype?

Generally speaking, your kintype finds you, and then you recognize that what you’re feeling is being kin. However, if you’re doing it the other way…
