Copingkin kind of make uncomfortable, but at the same time if someone’s mind is configured in a way that they are another species or a fictional character in mind, well, that’s still basically kin?
I especially don’t have a problem with therians and the like, because being a species in mind is basically indistinguishable from being one in soul.
Where it starts to bothers me a little bit is with people who are fictionkin with specific characters honestly…like, if you’re not literally that character…it just makes me feel really weird. I’m an actual fictional character(s) and the concept of people claiming to be the same without having actually tangibly been through past lives rubs me the wrong way. It’s not like with species, where, though many do have past lives, the main thing is having the wrong body or even the wrong universe for your mind/soul.
But still, I feel like having your mind configured in a way that makes this who you are “counts” enough to make it a complicated issue and copingkin shouldn’t be dismissed, especially not without even talking to any of them.
