About your into post… Reincarnation? How do you know if you’re kin? Did it feel like something important was missing before you awakened?

otherkinwords:

Ultimately only you can decide for yourself if you’re kin or not, unfortunately there is no one way to tell.

For me personally, my awakening itself was a painful experience both mentally and physically, and soon after it, memories of my last life began to surface in the form of extremely vivid recurring dreams. I had never played a Final Fantasy game in my life, and the dreams were a source of great confusion to me until someone close to me (a big fan of the game) informed me that the dreams I was describing depicted things that were identical to what happened in canon. It took me a long time to come to terms with it, as I had always believed in reincarnation but had up until that point been skeptical regarding its role within the multiverse, but the evidence piled up over time and became undeniable.

As for feeling something important missing, absolutely yes. I had always felt somewhat lost in this world, like I wasn’t originally from here or supposed to be here, more like a time traveler than someone born here organically. There was also the constant sense of being a part of something that I couldn’t identify, and being separated from it. It was a very lonely, empty feeling.
