I scroll the tags and see people treating this Amazing Atheist crap like they did the first 4chan raid, like some kind of war or something. I’m seeing people even worrying that this is going to destroy the community. You are all making SUCH a huge deal out of it and it’s making it so much worse.
This is just another sign of the younger kin not even bothering to learn about the history of the community and piss on us old kin. You know how much shit our communities have gotten in the past? We’ve survived awful documentaries and TV appearances many times over. We’ve been mocked in podcasts and internet articles and videos and books. The whole baby therian community was chased off of the newsgroup where it began by a flood of hate and trolling. And guess what? We’re all still here.
This Amazing Atheist shit will happen and there will be a rise in bullshit and then everyone will move on to the next thing to get their keks and we’ll be back to normal. And the bigger a deal you make it out to be, the more drama it’s gonna cause. If you just fucking ignore it and go on with your lives, blocking people and keeping search indexing and anon off and such, it will blow over much faster and there will be a lot less bullshit and stress. I realize that some of you want that negative attention on yourselves, but your actions now will reflect on the ENTIRE kin community, so can we try not to make complete asses of ourselves right now, please and thank you?
