I’m sure everyone is going to go down my throat for grouping otherkin and therians but I’m going to anyway. Is anyone else tired of the coddling that we as otherkin get. it’s just dumb, we say we want to be excepted but yet when someone(example:amazingatheist) criticizes is it send the ENTIRE community into an offended frenzy. it paints otherkin as these radical, annoying, childish animal worshippers that can’t take a hit of criticism. To be honest no one should care or even pay attention to criticism. It’s the other persons opinion. and sending them death threats won’t change that. also their opinion is theirs and we don’t really have a right to change that. My message is that otherkin as a whole need to seriously calm the fuck down. What IS offensive is putting otherkin/therians and lgbtqia/pride stuff together, holy shit. Even when we as individuals can be part of both groups, they should never be intertwined like this, and people doing that is part of why we get harassed so damn much. Otherkin, along with furries and bronies and whatever else, has NO place in lgbtqia pride. I say this as a gay, transgender otherkin. I’ll never understand why instagram kin/therians are always tag spamming like this, ever. It’s so wildly inappropriate it makes my head spin.
