i started reading about otherkin and such, and honestly its such bullshit. and i feel like its almost mocking people with actual mental disabilities. seriously, “i identify as a demonkin, prounouns gemself/demonself” oh my god what the fuck. I get that people wanna feel special, but thats just fucking bullshit and its just like people who say that they identify with a different race. Its so offensive i cant even jesus fucking christ
Hi there. Just so you know, otherkin aren’t ‘mocking people with mental disabilities’. Being otherkin is not a mental illness, and has nothing to do with mental illness. It is a spiritual (or in some cases) psychological belief. Otherkin believe that their souls or minds are of non-human origin.
Being kin also has nothing to do with gender or being trans, and those who claim it does are either trolls, or misunderstanding the concept. Neopronouns like meowself and whatever are not a part of being kin.
Otherkin are also not ‘transracial’ and don’t claim to be a different race in this life. Most otherkin believe they are nonhuman. Some fictionkin believe that they are characters who are other races, however this is not trans-racial, it is more like being reincarnated from someone from another country.
There are a lot of trolls and people who like to harass the kin community by posing as fake kin and making claims like being chairkin, hitlerkin, transracial, or claiming that kin are trans.None of these things are true, its just people trying to make fun of otherkin’s actual beliefs.
