I tell you who I feel bad for – 13-18 yr olds who are actually discovering that they’re kin right now, on tumblr, watching their peers run around like headless chickens playing make-believe with their identity. That’s gotta sting a bit.
Pagan kids went through that when I was 13-18. It’s a familiar feeling. My best idea on how older otherkin can be helpful to the next generation is by remembering that not all teenagers are faking or misguided and presenting real information for those who want it.
Absolutely. And that’s exactly why I continue to write about being kin, even on days when it doesn’t seem very rewarding.
