Okay, can we just get something straight?
You can’t choose your gosh darn kintypes.
Ooh!! Edgy!! I know, my friend, but before you mutter a syllable of “yikes” and block me, hear me out!
Unless you’re copingkin, in which case you can totally choose your kintypes, according to the very essence of what being otherkin & fictionkin is, you can’t choose your kintypes. Being kin is feeling as though you were a) a character or creature in a past life or b) you are connected to that character or creature, spiritually, in this life. Because of this, it is perfectly fine to be kin with a character outside of your race, or to be kin with a character you don’t share a certain disability with, because it wasn’t your darn choice to be kin with that character in the first place.
Imagine you’re a white neurotypical kin with a west asian character that has DPD. Is that okay? Yes!! It absolutely is!!! As long as you’re not claiming you’re asian now, or that you have DPD, you’re literally doing nothing wrong. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand?
So, you can’t “kin steal” (literally, what is this?), you can’t call someone out for being kin with a character outside of their race, or with a disability you don’t have, and you CERTAINLY CAN NOT suicide bait someone for that reason. In fact, you can’t suicide bait someone ever. Full stop.
We got that everyone?
