How can you tell between a cameo shift and a kintype that kinda just fades in and out?
I don’t experience cameo shifts, so I can’t tell you from personal experience.
Maybe someone who has cameo shifts can chime in here?
I’d say it depends on whether there’s lingering effects. Fickin usually have a bit of nostalgia and connectedness in relation to their canons / some things within canon, I’d say if the shift happens but you can still look at everything and have no significant emotional response (which is something only you can measure for yourself, because it’s up to you what makes it significant), then it was probably a cameo shift.
At least that’s how I tackled trying to work out the difference while going through an experience like that. There would probably be exceptions, like if it’s a character whose known for being super apathetic or hateful it might be harder to work it out that way.
