Yes, there absolutely is ‘such a thing’, because there are people who do this and feel this way. Its completely separate from being kin.

It depends on how you feel about that character. Its probably automatically a synpath if you chose to use that word for it.

Probably? There were a lot of characters in high school I didn’t know if I wanted to have sex with or switch lives/bodies with. *shrug*

I am not the expert on non-kin IDs, since I don’t ID as anyone but ‘myself’.
