I can accept the existence of otherkin.
I think it’s stupid and a case of special snowflake syndrome but my attitude towards it will be the same as my attitude towards Christians. Fictionkin on the other hand. I cannot put into words how fucking stupid I find it to be.
Why do you draw the line at fictionkin? I ask because I consider it my legitimate spiritual belief, which I’ve held for over ten years now.
Fiction = not real. You are claiming to have been something that never existed.
So are the otherkin who believe they’re unicorns and dragons? if you only believe the people who feel like they have the spirits of real life animals the word you’re looking for is therian.
I feel like fictionkin hasn’t been adequately explained to you, which is understandable since there’s a lot of misinformation. We don’t believe we’re “fictional characters” exactly. Spiritual fictionkin generally believe we’re the incarnations of people from other universes who coincidentally lived lives the same/similar to characters in fiction.

What are fictionkin?
Fictionkin; (noun): A person who discovers that they have in some way inherited the soul/spirit/complete mentality of a fictional character, and the identity of that character is in some way mixed with their current human/earthly identity.
But how do you know?
Fictionkin have experiences and feelings that set them apart from the rest of the world, often even at a very young age. We experience homesickness, strange memories, physical dysphoria, phantom limbs, and many other things that set us apart from other humans.
What’s it like?
Being fictionkin is a lot like having been five. The personality you had when you were five influences who you are now. You still have some of the same hopes and dreams you have when you were five. You have your five year old self’s memories. Your five year old self is forever a part of you- maybe even a part of you that still comes forward sometimes. But its not everything you are.
How can that be possible?
Under multiverse theory it is impossible, literally impossible to think of an occurrence that has not, will not, and is not happening. The multiverse is simply too big. Everything has existed, exists, and always will exist.
I never said that I think it’s possible to be otherkin. I think otherkin is bullshit but I just stopped giving shits about them. Fictionkin I really hate because its just so ridiculous it really makes me question the mental health and mental capacities of the people involved.
Also the memories thing, everybody has fucking strange memories. The older we get the more strange memories we gain because over time old memories become fuzzier until some become unidentifiable. And are you seriously saying that because by the rules of the universe, it’s possible. No. Seriously stop. All that proves is that somewhere, Luke skywalker really does exist. However that does not mean that you were Luke fucking skywalker.
None of this makes any sense. Being fictionkin is like being five, what the fuck!? Allow me to explain what’s really happening here. You found a character you could identify with. THATS IT! You’re still you. You cannot provide me with any evidence that this is possible. If I was provided with evidence, I would change my viewpoint.
The only viewpoint I want to change is that I would like you to see fictionkin as equally sincere as otherkin and christians.
