I’m worried to come off anon but I wanted your opinion. Is it inappropriate to be fallen angelkin even though I’m an atheist?

Sorry this took me so long to get to, it turned out I had a lot to say on it and I kept starting and stopping my answer.

Firstly, if you are really, honestly an atheist, and don’t believe in a god or gods in any sense of the word, then yes, it is inappropriate to call yourself a fallen angel. Angels are beings created by god to serve him, and fallen angels are those who have rebelled against him. But no, god, means no angels. And because there are people, whole cultures and religions even, who strongly believe that god and angels and fallen angels are real, its disrespectful to falsely claim to be one when you believe they don’t exist.

If you consider yourself metaphorically/emotionally a fallen angel because you feel you resonate with the ideas of rejection of the christian ideology, or rebellion against society in general, I urge you to look into the practices of Levayan Satanism. Levayan Satanism is an atheistic belief structure with the trappings of a dark religion that is inherently a rejection of common society and ideals. You may find yourself calling yourself a levayan Satanist for the same reasons you call yourself a fallen angel, without being disrespectful to anyone’s beliefs.

As a final note however, I went to catholic school for 6 years of my life, and as a result, I learned a lot about the christian faith (despite being a pagan). With that in mind, I would like to give you this advice.

If you at all feel like you may be a ‘real’ fallen angel, if that identity is serious to you, and the idea of leaving it behind leaves a lump in your throat, I want you to examine your feeling about god, and why you are an atheist. Is it because you disbelieve the idea of god, or because you reject the christian god and his teachings? I say this because it sounds perfectly logical to me that a fallen angel, who has removed themselves from the christian god’s light, if they were born in a human body, would be an atheist.

Again, I’m a pagan, but as a pagan I urge you to examine whether you disbelieve that you’re a fallen angel created by god, or if you simply reject that god’s power over you.
