You consider otherkin a spirituality? I haven’t seen people describe it as such, but regardless… Yes, I find all irrational things that are not based on empirical evidence absurd, which absolutely includes religion as well as people who think they’re a feathered dragon. However, for what it’s worth, otherkin isn’t as bad as religion by any stretch of the imagination. They’re just similarly silly.

Most legitimate otherkin and fictonkin consider it a spirituality. It started as a spiritual idea/movement. Everything else has grown/deviated from there. Those kin who do not consider it spiritual are the unusual ones.

Its absolutely your choice to consider things for which there is no evidence to be ‘absurd’. All I, or anyone else with such beliefs asks, is that you respect us as people and not treat us like zoo animals to throw peanuts at.
