would it be possible for someone to identify as a character but as that character in an alternate universe? like.. say there’s a character and you don’t connect with them as they are in their canon, but you do as they are in the au? sorry if this is badly worded or anything, it’s just confusing me;;
It absolutely is possible, in fact, that is how many of us are. Not all the details of my life match up with Ken Ichijouji’s life in ‘canon’, especially later in life. For me, Digimon 02 is very close, but not exactly what I experienced. For others, their differences from canon are much larger.
