I totally get what you mean by traumatic memories. Specifically I have bad memories of being in a war, and speaking about those memories is especially painful.

I don’t want to assert my experiences as more important than anyone else’s, but I have a confession… it sometimes bothers me how many people seem to be “having fun” with being kin, when being kin has been deeply intertwined with a lot of emotional/mental health problems for me. part 1/2 Do you think its possible for hearted people to have..memories from their hearttype? It sounds weird but I have no other idea how to put it. Felix, I get really embarrassed about being kin. I’m otherkin and fictionkin and I always see people making fun of them and I feel really bad. I want to suppress how I feel but I know I’ve already tried to do that and it didn’t work. I just wish I could be more comfortable being kin. Do you ever feel embarrassed whenever you see anything that involve any of your fictotypes (like in art or if you read their names, etc)? I do and I don’t know why.

I definitely do! Not all the time, but sometimes. Especially if its something that clashes with my memories, or that would embarrass me ordinarily.

There are already two blogs for kin calls that are 18+: 18nupkin and 18pluskin, or something along those lines. It might be good to have something for people Even Older (like, late 20’s early 30’s) but honestly we’re already so spread out that it might be better just to stick with 18+ imo so we don’t leave out whole small chunks of people without a stronger sense of community
