I’m not sure if my ask sent so I’m just going to send it again to be safe. I recently had a really violent awakening as a character. Usually when I find that I’m kin, the memories and feelings come over time, but this time it struck like lightning- years worth of memories and emotions came flooding in over the course of a couple hours. I’ve been depressed, anxious and overwhelmed since this sudden awakening. I didn’t even have time to question it. Any insight on why/how this happened?

I’m curious about something. Does having memories from a certain canon mean that you’re fictionkin from that canon? Because I definitely have some memories but I’m not sure who they’re attached to, and I’m also uncertain because I do have a few soulbonds from that canon too.

Related to a previous ask, I thought I was kin with a character, I had dreams about being them in their world and mine, but this hasn’t happened in a while, over three months, so maybe I was never kin with them?

Oh honey. Three months is nothing. Don’t worry. Kin dreams, memories, and experiences can be separated by years and that’s completely normal.

About kin memories being less visual/sensory and more-so just ‘feelings’, how can you tell the difference between a headcanon and a memory?

A headcanon is something you came up with, and a memory is something you just sort of ‘know’ or ‘feels right’ I guess?
