Hello! I’m sorry for disturbing your askbox, but I have a question! I think I’m kin with this certain character, but I don’t really know if I am. I’ve actually gone through the EXACT same experiences they’ve dealt with and I noticed that we both have the same hobbies and dislikings. But maybe it’s just me overthinking. Am I kin with this character or do I just look up to them?

Only you can really answer that question for yourself. Having the same experiences in this life as a character does in a fiction can make you admire them, but doesn’t (necessarily) make you fictionkin.  Search your thoughts, memories and feelings. Is this person literally you? Or is it someone you admire/feel close to because of shared experiences? Its completely possible you are that person, but its possible you aren’t too.
