Do you have any theories on why people who claim to be fictionkin on Tumblr all seem to conform to a very predictable behavior type? I’ve identified as fictionkin since long before joining Tumblr, and I find that I can’t relate at all to any of the ones I meet here because of the way they behave.

My theory is that various fictionkin on tumblr are in one or  more of the following categories:

a) Young and immature and will grow up

b) victims of tumblr’s effect as an isolating echo-box

c) following the trends of other tumblr fictionkin

d) not giving enough weight, exploration and reflection to their kin identities

e) sometimes mistaken in their identities and not really fictionkin

f) actually trolls
