No offense but it really isn’t your place like, at all to determine whether or not its racist for white people to be kin with non-white characters if you, too, are white. Which is probably why that other anon was asking.
Its not my place to determine anything. Its my place to give my opinion on everything. Whether people listen to me or not is their business.
People can make all the assumptions about me when they read my posts that they want. They can assume I’m white. They can assume I’m insane. They can assume I am a bottle of windex with arms to type posts. I don’t care. None of that effects the strength or weakness of my arguments.
Its not my place to determine what someone else finds racist. However, people are asking me my opinion on whether or not I think such and such is racist.
I do not always have to preface my words with ‘in my opinion’. Everyone’s words are their opinions unless they are cited with facts. There are no facts to back up any fictionkin/otherkin things, so everything on the subject is just someone’s opinion. My opinions are not pronouncements from god.
on that note:
What people say: “You can’t be kin of a non-white person if you are white!”
What it sounds like they’re saying: “It is empirically impossible for you to have had a past life or otherworldly experience in which you were a non-white person. You are now and will forever be white. Being a dog is totally possible. But it was definitely a white dog.”
What they’re probably trying to say: “I personally find it objectionable and racist that you would claim to have a past life/otherworldly experience as a non-white person.”
The truth: You can’t dictate someone else’s internal experience. If kin are not invading the spaces of POC, stop policing their internal experience.
