This occurred to me recently because I was doing research on reincarnation. In certain countries where it is a widespread belief, the common idea is that if one is transgender, their soul did not properly sever from their past life. So could this simultaneously solve the mystery as to why so many fictionkin are transgender, as well as why so many other/fictionkin are bigender, genderqueer, agender ect?
I absolutely believe that this is a big part of the reason there are so many kin on the trans spectrum. My body very much remembers being male, the same way it remembers having horns.
As a reminder, according to informal polls, nearly 90% of the fictionkin community identifies as transgender in some way.
