Okay so I kin with a character of a video game. My friend said I should ask the creator if it’s okay to kin with the character since the creator didn’t want people kining with one of the other characters. And I just??? Cause I can’t pick on who I kin with?? And the creator seems real cold and distant and has their ask box closed. What do I do?
Your friend is absolutely wrong. It is *always* a bad idea to approach a creator and tell them that you are kin of one of her characters.
Firstly: You can’t change who you are kin of
Secondly: Its none of the author’s business that you’re kin
Thirdly: It is always a social faux pas to bring kin into fandom
