Cerebrumalius
“brain of a different kind”
Definition:
Cerebrumalius – A person who believes their non-human identity is caused by a brain quirk (a psychological non-human)
Cerebrumalia – the idea or belief that non-human identities may be caused by brain quirks
Usage examples:
Cerebrumalius: “I identify as a dragon cerebrumalius, because I believe my dragon identity is caused by my brain”
Cerebrumalia: “Cerebrumalia makes more sense to me than believing I’m a reincarnated tiger, because I am not spiritual”
Cerebrumalia is:
- a belief
- related to how one believes their brain functions
- a term that may be used to replace “psychological otherkin”, “psychological therian”, “psychological fictionkin”, etc.
- a term anyone identifying psychologically AS a non-human may use to describe themselves
Cerebrumalia is not:
- a mental illness
- a coping mechanism
- a spirituality (i.e. anything involving souls or reincarnation)
- a religion
