I thought of a term for spiritual oriented kin, though I don’t think anyone would catch on to use it.. But here it is anyway,
“Animafidem”
Taking the Latin words “anima” meaning “soul” and “fidem” meaning “belief”.
I thought it sounded neat for those of us who specifically believe our souls were non-human.
You know, the more I think about it, the more I like this idea.
Please feel free to use this term if you believe that your soul is non-human and would rather not go by otherkin. (do not use simultaneously with ‘otherkin’ as this is for people who don’t want to identify by that term)
I thought of this because there is so much baggage with the word otherkin that I find many of us do not want to be associated with it, or maybe even just because it has simply become too broad a term. Animafidem was created for just that, for us spiritual “otherkin” who do not want to be associated as such.
