is it normal to have more than one kin from the same canon?
ask yourself how you feel both of these characters came to exist as one person. Soulmates born into the same body? Some kind of incident where they were merged in ‘canon’?
There’s also no reason a person couldn’t be born into an au timeline of the same canon, it doesn’t have to be something so complicated. If you’re very connected to a world and certain events there’s no saying you wouldn’t be drawn back into a similar timeline more than once.
It’s still best to question it though, I agree, so don’t think I’m contradicting fromfiction here. A lot of the time when I get kin feelings for another character from one of my canons it’s just because I really understood them well and I miss them. Sometimes a connection is just a connection.
Its not particularly normal or abnormal. I always tend to advocate for heavy scrutiny when you think it may be the case, because it seems easy to get mixed up about. Examine why you think you’re both of these people.
If your beliefs fall more on the psychological front, examine your feelings and if you really feel like you ‘are’ both these characters, or if you’re just feeling close to one of them because of feelings the other had, or something like that.
If your beliefs are more on the spiritual front, ask yourself how you feel both of these characters came to exist as one person. Soulmates born into the same body? Some kind of incident where they were merged in ‘canon’?
I don’t think there’s anything inherently ‘abnormal’ about having two kintypes from the same source, but I do think its something that requires close introspection.

Good point, didn’t think of this one!
