Sure! What you do is you go to Google custom search and sign up. Put in the URL of the site you’d like to search (yourtumblr.tumblr.com) and then grab the code that it gives you.

Take that code, and edit your tumblr theme. Go to edit HTML and paste the code somewhere after the BODY. Try to find the space in your theme that talks about the sidebar (probably labeled sidebar) and paste it there. Then update the preview to make sure its where you want it.

If this is your first time editing your theme’s HTML and you’re not familiar with code/css, I reccomend that before you try this, you copy+paste your whole theme’s code into another document, so you can paste it back if you mess up the code.
