To the anon asking about shifting: I’m a shifter too, and I’m always aware of it. I don’t know where the idea that you’re not supposed to be aware of a shift even comes from? I’ve never heard that anywhere except in like… goofy werewolf movies or something. Some people might not be aware of their shifts, but it’s an individual thing in both cases.

I think the idea came from people confusing shifts with ‘switching’, which is only experienced by multiples.

i think i feel wings on my back, but i’m not sure if it’s just me wishing for them. it feels like this heavy sort of shapeless ‘presence’ on my back, and i always want to reach back because it feels as though i could touch them (obviously, they’re never there). does this sound like astral limbs?

I have one character that I am kin with, and I also have a synpath. But lately I’ve been feeling shifts for the synpath, particularly the urge to talk like them. This feels a bit odd, since he’s VERY different from both me and my kintype. Not unpleasant, just odd. And I was wondering what this means. I still don’t feel like I am him. But lately he’s been talking through me more than normal. What exactly could this mean? And should he be handled any differently than my kintype?

Sometimes I feel like I physically am a certain character. Like, I know I didn’t “physically shift” or anything like that.. I don’t really know how to describe it. It’s kind of like I feel phantom limbs and whenever I think of myself I think of that character. Usually when this happens I’m surprised whenever I look into a mirror/see my shadow/etc because it doesn’t match what I feel. Does this seem like an indicator of this character being a kintype to you? (Sorry if this is poorly worded!!)

So, recently went through an awakening period (thank you for your help with that, again) and have been settling in and acclimating to being Demonkin. That said, after talking to those closest to me, I’ve been informed that apparently my general vocal pattern has changed. Like, general vocabulary choice, tonal inflection, patter, and even standard speaking pitch. Is that a common occurrence? I’m very new to this, and I wondering if others experience this phenomenon.
