I think I’m fictionhearted but it’s with a character from something rare. I mean I feel a lot better understanding what I feel, but I almost kind of wish the canon had more attention or that I could find more people who are kin/hearted with it.

This is a feeling a lot of kin/hearted people share. Sadly some sources are simply quite rare, while others are overflowing. I have never met someone else from Digimon, however I can’t shake a stick without hitting someone from homestuck.

At the end of the day, the fictionkin and otherkin community exists to bring together people with a shared experience. That experience won’t always be exact to yours, whether it is a vampire among elfkin, or someone from Roger Rabbit hanging out with kin from Lord of the Rings. 

We may not have memories of the same worlds, or lives, but we share the experience of being foreigners in this world. The experience of having bodies and selves that were different once. Of having intrusive memories, strange feelings, and deep nostalgia. The community is important if not  to feel at home, but to remember that others are feeling lost too. Grab hands and hold on.
