its still rude to tag someones personally created fan art of media characters as kin or me. Wouldn’t it be much smarter to avoid that all together and tag the art as the characters name instead. It would still allow you to look back at the pictures and also avoid making the artist uncomfortable.

I totally agree, honestly. I think tagging things as kin is pretty much pointless, since it comes across as rude. People should just use another tag.

But I also defend the right of people to say whatever they want about other people’s art. Once you’ve put your art out there, you can’t control what people say about it. Some people are gonna say rude stuff, its a fact of life.
