Hello there! There’s something that’s been bugging me lately on the topic of fictionkin: why are there so many for mainstream/popular series, such as UnderTale, meanwhile smaller series have basically no ‘kin (I hope this makes sense! Thank you for your time!)

The truth is most people who are fictionkin will never know that they are fictionkin.

You can have kin memories, experience shifts, have flashbacks, and phantom limbs, and never know that you’re kin, if you don’t ever find out about the canon where your story happened.

The reason more people are kin of popular stories is because more people are exposed to them. The more people exposed to an idea, the more that people who are kin of it will see it.

The kin of small series are out there- they just have no idea their canon exists!
