i heard of a kinshift thing called a “cameo shift” where you shift to something you arent kin with– Is that possible for fictionkin?? i think yesterday i shifted to a character i knew from canon but i don’t think im kin with them too?

The definition of a cameo shift is when you experience a shift into the state of someone who is not among your kintypes/kinselves.

Personally, I have not experienced any cameo shifts, and I’m not sure where they fit in the kin identity/experience.
