A long time ago you touched on the topic of “fictional others” when an anon brought it up. What do you think of people who have multiple fictional others? I’ve found a friend who’s familiar with the concept and she has like, five. She IS polyamorous, but do you think that’s questionable? I’m not quite sure what I think yet. I’m still new to the concept, haha.

By fictional others, I gather that you mean romantic interactions with fictives/soulbonds/headmates. My personal feelings are that there is nothing wrong with having these relationships as long as all parties involved are comfortable with them. It is just as wrong to force a headmate into a relationship as it would be to try to force another person in this world into a relationship. (Not that I think your friend is doing this, I’m just saying!)

As someone who is open to poly relationships myself, I don’t see anything wrong with someone being ‘internally’ poly either, again, so long as everyone is happy with the arrangement.

The only time I think internal relationships get kind of dicey is when the persons involved neglect all of their external obligations and relationships in an unhealthy way. And let me be clear, its not always unhealthy for someone to ignore external relationships in favor of internal ones, but it *can* be.
