I’ve been wondering, why is it that certain canons have more being Kin to it than others? For example, there are more people kin with characters from Steven Universe than there are people who are kin with characters from Wings of Fire. Just a random question, thanks!!

First of all, the more popular a series is, the more people who are kin of it will see it, and be able to recognize they are kin of it. There might be lots of Wings of Fire kin who have never had their memories/selves triggered by the source material.

Secondly, I have noticed a pattern (and this is all guesswork on my part) that series that involve time travel, reincarnation, and/or multiple universes themselves tend to have more kin of them. I think this is because by nature the walls of those universes are more thin, and more people are likely to slip out and wind up incarnated in this universe. For example, Kingdom Hearts kin, or Homestuck kin.
