Do fictionkin always feel familarity or déjà vu with their canon? I’ve been having few memories (though it’s rare when I have them) but none of them are triggered by my canon? Most of them are triggered by other things, such as similar events in this life, etc.

Don’t worry too much about it, canon isn’t *always* what triggers memories, though it tends to be for a lot of people. Its possible your mind is just better able to create a barrier between you and your life as represented in fiction.

My first memories were triggered by watching my canon, yes, but in the years since I’ve seen it, subsequent memories are just triggered by day to day events. I remember having my first vivid flashback to the death of my brother Osamu, as Ken, when I was standing at the edge of a busy street with my current brother. It was so vivid, that I grabbed his hand and jerked him back toward me, even though he wasn’t moving.
